The Little Grimlin and the Big Helping of Courage - A Story of Friendship

“When you have a friend, you outgrow yourself”

Illustrations by Laura Bednarski

Adventure? Company? No, those are nothing for Grimlin at all. The grouchy little goblin likes his peace and quiet – especially in the mornings, when he drinks a cup of root tea in his favourite spot high up in the old chestnut tree. This all changes, however, when a bird lands in the tree and sings a beautiful song. From that day on, Tirili comes every morning, and Grimlin is surprised to find he misses the bird from the moment it flies away. The pair become best friends and are inseparable – until one day Tirili doesn’t show up. Grimlin summons up all his courage and sets out in search of his friend. His quest takes him to the deep, dark Conegobbler Wood. But there’s no adventure too big for Grimlin, if it means saving his little friend!
