Smart & Aleck — The Wonder of Water (Vol.2)

Illustrations by Martina Matos

Oh no — Aleck’s snow bear has melted! She made it for her best friend Smart. Luckily, Smart soon has one of his brilliant ideas. The pair become water researchers: they discover how water turns into steam and then back into snow. They build a dam and learn how much power water has.

And when Smart shows his friend, with the help of Bathtub and Toothbrush Mug, how much water there is in the world and how little of it can be used as drinking water, they realise that water really is precious! In the end Aleck’s head is swimming from everything they’ve learned. Is there anything that can help her? Of course: a glass of water — and some pancakes made by her best friend.

This books provides a child-friendly explanation of the water cycle, the power of water, and the importance of drinking water as a resource

A warmhearted story that will fill children with wonder — all about friendship and finding out

Clear illustrations bring the science to life
