The young mouse takes these words, spoken to him by his grandfather, out into the world along with a little lantern. The kind-hearted mouse shares his scarf with anyone who is cold, and forges many friendships. His grandfather’s wisdom guides him through many adventures and helps him find his happiness – first an ardent love, and later a big family. Until finally he in turn is able to pass on the message to the little grandchild in his arms: “Just a spark, a little light...”
