Soon after her eleventh birthday, Reena discovers she has a rare gift: the ability to see magical horses in their true form. And as if this first surprise wasn’t wonderful enough, she then receives an invitation from Avelora, a mysterious boarding school in the mountains on the mystical island of Galantis. Students at Avelora are taught how to harness the magical abilities of elemental horses. At the school Reena meets her soul-horse and makes new friends. But before long a storm is brewing over the mountains – a storm with dark magic in it – and now not only the school but all magical horses are in danger.
